Chuckanut Bay Youth 2024

Welcome

Welcome to the Chuckanut Bay Youth 2024 Registration!

Spring Season Registration Details

2024 promises to be an action-packed season for all ages with some significant changes and improvements to how some of our teams will be playing this year.  As with every season, our goal within the Chuckanut Bay Rugby club is to foster an environment where youth in the community are able to challenge and improve themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally through the sport of rugby.  This is an opportunity for them to be a part of something bigger than themselves, to work within a team, and to contribute to the community in which we live.

We offer top notch coaching, world class facilities and a structured program that you can rely on to give your child the best experience possible.  This season our U6, U8, and U10 teams will transition from touch rugby to flag rugby.  This will bring our program in line with USA/Canada's rookie rugby format and will give these teams the opportunity to cross the border and play nearby clubs up in British Columbia.   For the U12, U14, and High School teams, we will continue to play within the Rugby WA organization on Saturdays but have more opportunities to play in Canada for friendly games as well on Sundays.

As with every rugby region, the schedules are drafted but ultimately tend to flex as we get near the dates.  Chuckanut coaches and team managers will do their best to communicate changes to the schedules as soon as they occur so you can make informed decisions about your family's schedule.  The Rugby WA season begins mid-March and ends mid-May, with High School championships following after.

This year we are also introducing a volunteer option for all players to allow for a significantly reduced registration fee.  For those who elect to volunteer 10 hours to the club for the season, we will be able to take $100 off of the registration and will work with players to track their time helping to setup/take down the fields, participate in a work party, help with a fundraiser or help clean the sheds.   The club is successful because of the volunteers helping it be successful and this is a great chance to be a part of it.

Scholarship / Grant Programs

As a non-profit organization, we never want financial limitations to be the reason someone cannot join our club.  We recommend you reach out to a club contact to learn about scholarship programs, as well as look into applying for a grant through every kid sports.
